Explore the Gran Paradiso National Park in an exciting winter naturalistic photography workshop. In five days, you will have the opportunity to capture the enchanting landscapes and the animals living in the magnificent valleys of this Park.

Guided by two experienced photographers, you will immerse yourself in an extraordinary world in search of ibex, alpine chamois, foxes, variable hares, golden eagles, bearded vultures, and many other species. During the event, you will not only have the opportunity to take breathtaking photos but also acquire essential technical and naturalistic knowledge to refine your photographic skills.

Beyond capturing images, you will learn advanced shooting techniques and, through the post-production session, how to optimize your shots.Our goal is not only to allow you to capture unique moments but also to do it with the utmost respect for nature, offering you technical and biological skills.

During this workshop, you will have the unique opportunity to fully immerse yourself in nature and capture spectacular images amid the magical landscapes of the Gran Paradiso National Park. Guided by expert wildlife photographers, we will explore the Park’s natural environment, from the valley floors to the peaks, in search of its wildlife without disturbing their natural routine.

1. Photographic Excursions: We will explore various habitats within the Park, accompanied by expert photographers and naturalists familiar with the territory.

2. Photographic Assistance: You will receive guidance in capturing detailed images in a natural environment. Expert photographers will guide you in selecting perfect shots and provide tips on optimizing natural light.

3. Theoretical Lessons: Besides practical sessions, there will be moments for sharing and learning. Expert photographers will share tips and tricks for capturing extraordinary shots, from capturing to editing, along with in-depth information about the biology and behavior of the animals we encounter.

Day 1
– Meeting with professional photographers and the rest of the group, a brief introduction featuring basic naturalistic photography techniques, fauna, and park environments presentation.
– Moving to one of the main valleys of the Gran Paradiso National Park for the first trek and photographic session of the workshop until sunset.
– Return to the hotel, dinner with local products, and overnight stay.

Day 2-3-4:
– Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to a new location for an excursion in search of the Park’s wildlife.
– Break for a packed lunch (free), followed by photographic activities until sunset.
– Dinner with local products and overnight stay.

Day 5:
– Breakfast at the hotel.
– Frontal post-production course, where a complete post-production workflow will be demonstrated to help you get the best out of your photos.
– Lunch and greetings.

For this workshop, we recommend using lenses of at least 300mm, although shorter lenses can be very interesting for wider photos or landscapes. Even a 70-200mm on reduced-size sensors (DX – APS-C) may be enough.
The tripod is recommended but not essential.

If you want to participate but don’t have the right equipment, don’t worry. We offer the possibility to rent high-quality cameras and lenses specifically chosen for the event.
